Insert Strength and Bond
Aluminum inserts are often times the first thing to break in an arrow system that impacts bone. This is an easy fix. You can buy stainless steel or brass inserts for many of today’s popular arrows. As a side benefit, your arrows Forward of Center will increase because they weigh more.
Strong inserts however won't help if the arrow breaks. A carbon arrow’s weakest point is right where you cut it. With that in mind, the glue you use when installing your inserts is just as important as the insert’s strength. Strong inserts installed with a quality slow cure epoxy make the business end of your arrow strong.
